Atris Incorporated is a business telecommunications company delivering advanced telephony and internet services targeting small and mid-sized businesses throughout selected multi-tenant buildings, as well as individual enterprise solutions for larger businesses. Atris utilizes the latest in Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology to deliver state of the art bundled voice and data communications services to its customers.
The service offers customers monthly service packages that provide them with large enterprise PBX functionality, including enhanced features and capabilities, without having to incur the large capital expense of a phone system or PBX. The unique capabilities of our VoIP system also allow our customers to reduce their operating business communications costs with VERY high speed internet, local calling, long distance calling, voice mail, installation, and cabling.
Atris was founded by Jud Berkowitz, whose company, NTG Telecommunications, Inc., has been selling and supporting business telecommunications systems for over 20 years. Jud and the Atris technology team have developed a unique PATENTED application of the Sphere system for multi-tenant buildings, which affords small to mid-sized companies access to technology not otherwise available to them at similar costs. Atris Incorporated was spun out of NTG Telecommunications to take this exciting new opportunity to market.
Atris started operating its unique system in two multi-tenant buildings in downtown Philadelphia in early 2003. Atris has since expanded into the additional markets of New York City and Denver with several more multi-tenant buildings scheduled for installation in the winter of 2011 and spring of 2012.
Atris’s server based system runs VoIP software developed by Sphere Communications (acquired by NEC in 2008), a leader in VoIP/PBX solutions with over 250,000 users on its’ worldwide VoIP PBX systems. The systems are redundant and extremely reliable.
The company is now well positioned to take advantage of the growth of Voice over IP services in the coming years.
